Submarine

I went a little trip on a boat around the canals and a bit out side Amsterdam. A bit further out there is an old Russian/Soviet submarine left from the WW2 and kept as a piece of art.

And this is a very interesting block of flats that looks like a pile of containers like those on ships. Great design inside and out. I think that several architects have designed differents parts of it.

I am employed!

Hi there! I officially have a job!
I'm an international sales executive at a very big company. You may see the building at the first few photos!
An exciting day that found my wife, a great friend and me at Vondelpark making BBQ and drinking loads of beer.
I'm too drunk to upload photos from today as I need to take them out of the camera etc. so here are some from yesterday!

Things get better 'n' better!

Eventually, I had my first successful job interview. Another final one is coming next week for the same position and then I'd be done. A real active and working resident of Amsterdam!

Can't wait for that.

Queen's day is on it's way and Amsterdam is getting ready for it. Dam square is turned to a big amusements park. I got to get there night time to take good photos to show you. At the moment I only got some iphone snaps. Here they are along with some more proper city shots.

Funny thing. Some friends complained that I show many pics of architecture etc. but not real life like coffe shops and people.
They are right. I want and I will turn my camera to those but at the moment I am still impressed by the architecture etc. hahaha.

Architecture

I can not stop admiring Amsterdam architecture. City landscapes were never so friendly and the combination with the countless canals... I become boring by repeating myself , but yes I already love this city.

Oostenpark & Vondelpark

I'm getting crazy with parks in this city. Oostenpark (Eastern park) is not far from my house but not as good as the famous Vondelpark. It starts at the end of the Pieter Cornelies Hoofstraat Road where all high end fashion brands have their flagship stores like cartier, chopard, chanel, hermes, prada, d&g, armani, louis vuitton and so many more.

Spending a few hours in the Vondelpark (Fondelpark) is a must for all visitors of Amsterdam who are looking for more than dope and red lights. Caffeterias by little lakes and canteens with delicious hot dogs etc.

Great place to ride your bicycle and wonder around.

Photos that follow were taken in both parks but are not representative or anything. I only shoot what I like the way I like :)

I once more went to Amsterdam Arena and around but got a camera along too. Here are some images taken along the way from home to the Arena. Pay attention to the golf course which is separated by the Amsterdam ring-road :)
